Brandeis Department of African and African-American Studies to celebrate 50th Anniversary

AAAS 50th Commemoration, Brandeis University

Join us as we commemorate a half-century of excellence and dedication to the Department of African and African American Studies (AAAS). We will celebrate this milestone moment with an exciting two-day commemoration event at Brandeis.

Keynote speakers and participants will include Angela Davis ’65, Julieanna Richardson ’76, Hortense Spillers PhD’74 and Askia Touré. The commemoration will also be highlighted by panels featuring multiple generations of Brandeis alumni, including participants in the 1969 Ford Hall occupation.

Admission is free. Light refreshments will be provided.
