Alumni Weekend

Register today for expanded Alumni College

Alumni College June 8-10

Alumni College, one of the highlights of Alumni Weekend, is more robust than ever this year, with a full day of programs Friday and additional events Saturday and Sunday, including a conversation with Nobel Laureate Michael Rosbash, the Peter Gruber Endowed Chair in Neuroscience at Brandeis. Those who wish to attend may register online here.

Alumni College begins with a tribute to Leonard Bernstein, the famed composer, conductor and Brandeis faculty member. In “Celebrating Leonard Bernstein at 100, West Side Story at 60,” a panel of distinguished Brandeis scholars from across the disciplines will discuss the continuing relevance of “West Side Story,” which broke new ground by bringing race, class and love to the Broadway stage, all set to Bernstein's electrifying musical score.

Later on Friday, Alumni College will offer an exciting range of sessions on topics ranging from “Robots, Artificial Intelligence and their Impact on Education and the Digital Economy” to “World Order in the Age of Trump.” The day includes a tour of the Rose Art Museum, where visitors can meet Luis A. Croquer, the Henry and Lois Foster Director of the Rose Art Museum.

Alumni College will conclude on Sunday, when visitors can attend an open house at the Brandeis MakerLab. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the technology there, view 3D printing demonstrations, check out drone simulators, see virtual reality technology and more.
